On August 31st, the awarding ceremony of the “2019 Young Doctoral Outstanding Talent Scholarship” of Shanghai Tongji Gaotingyao Environmental Protection Technology Development Foundation was held in Changzhou. The event was hosted by Tongji University and Shanghai Tongji Gaotingyao Environmental Technology Development Foundation and organized by WELLE Environmental Group. Twenty outstanding doctoral students majoring in environmental engineering and related fields won the award. They are from 14 universities nationwide including Xiamen University, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Zhejiang University, Nanjing University, Hohai University, Fudan University and Tongji University.

Since its establishment 16 years ago, it has funded more than 200 outstanding doctoral students, and has played an active role in the cultivation of high-level environmental protection young talents and sustainable development of environmental protection industry in China. In the WELLE Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum after the award ceremony, nationwide experts in the environmental protection field had a keynote speech on “Innovation and Hotspots in the Environmental Field”. The speech shared environmental technology, research results, management experience, and entrepreneurial experience and explored the development trend of environmental protection industry. Different from previous forum, the participants not only included 20 scholarship winners in 2019 and the winners who participated in the mid-term assessment, but also invited previous winners to attend. The winners and municipal relevant departments also had discussion with WELLE Group about development strategy of environmental protection technology innovation and environmental protection industry development.
